The 3rd Annual Winter Lights 5K

Bayside Runner is proud to once again partner with the Boston Bruins Foundation in supporting the Plymouth Tree Lighting &  Cape Cod Toys for Tots.

Presented in conjunction with the Christmas in Historic Plymouth tree lighting on Friday night, December 5, 2014.

When: Friday, December 5, 6:15pm

Where: Runners will proceed down Main Street in Plymouth behind Santa, and when he turns on the tree lights, the runners will go!! It will be dark, but the course will be well lit for sure. View the course map here.

Why: Well, if you really need more reasons, any participants registered by the early deadline (date TBA) will be guaranteed shirts and glow bracelets!
Registration is limited to 2,000.  Participants are also REQUIRED to have a flashlight or headlamp.

Post Race Party: Immediately following the Winter Lights 5K on December 5, Bayside Runner along with the Boston Bruins Foundation will host a 21+ VIP PARTY at the Cabby Shack on the waterfront.  Meet the Ice Girls and Blades!!

VIP Entry: Just bring your race number & an unwrapped gift for TOYS FOR TOTS to get you in!!

SHIRTS:  Shirts are available for all participants registered on or before the early registration date TBD .

Bib Pick-Up & On-Site Registration: Pre-race number pickup and on site registration will take place at Bayside Runner, 38 Long Pond Road in Plymouth, on Thursday, December 4th from 2pm – 8pm.

Race day pickup and on site registration will take place on Friday, December 5th from 3:45 pm – 5:45 pm in the Brewster Room of the John Carver Inn, 25 Summer Street, Plymouth.  The parking lot at the John Carver Inn is for hotel guests ONLY – please do not plan to park at this location for the race.  Please refer to the parkplymouth.com website for parking information.

STARTING LINE INFO: Please review the starting line information and number pickup map to ensure that your evening “runs” smoothly.  Race day number pickup will be held at the John Carver Inn and we request that all runners enter and exit according to the below map to keep all traffic flowing in one direction.  Additionally, please see the starting line information map so you can see where the staging area is in reference to the John Carver Inn, tree lighting and actual starting line.  Before the race begins there will be a series of starts and stops to allow for the parade, tree lighting and Santa to arrive.

IMPORTANT! Please be sure to bring a headlamp and/or flashlight with you to the race. The Plymouth Police have asked that all participants be illuminated with a light. If you have reflective clothing, please wear that as well.

There are several parking options available.  All parking information can be found on the website:  www.parkplymouth.com.  Please remember it will be crowded in the area so leave time to park and walk to the start.  The area we have for the race participants is on Main Street Extension near the Post Office.  This is where we will wait for the parade to start before the race begins.

Please remember that the race is in conjunction with the yearly Christmas in Historic Plymouth event.  We will be following the parade and Santa down Main Street at 6:00 pm.  We will stop at the tree, wait for Santa to turn on the lights, then continue walking up to the starting line which is at Brewster Street.

There will be one water stop on the course at approximately the ½ way point.

The roads are open to traffic.  If you are running with a stroller please plan to start at the back.  We ask that you leave dogs/animals at home as they will not be allowed to run with you on the course.  Please contact us at southshorerace@hotmail.com if you need to participate with a service animal.
